COVID-19 Plan

As a teaching facility, as well as a purveyor of performing arts, Mountain Dream takes its responsibilities with regard to providing a safe and responsible environment for our staff, students, actors and crew.

We will be building on the COVID protocols that the Mary Winspear Center has already in place, in accordance with Public Health Orders (PHO) as may be published from time to time.

We recognize that the situation is constantly evolving, and our knowledge of the virus is also evolving, so these situations may change without notice.

Screening

At each class, students and staff will be screened for symptoms of COVID and other illnesses.  If your actor feels unwell, please do not attend.  We will work to ensure that they are caught up.

Masking

As orders come and go, we will adhere to these masking mandates.  As of 25 August, masks must be worn indoors, when not doing physical activity, in accordance with the provincial orders.

Proof of Vaccine

As an after-school programme, we will not require that students born in 2009 or earlier (age 12+ this year) provide a proof of vaccine, although we do recommend that they be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Adults in cast or crew of any show or in class will need to show proof of vaccination, after 13 September.

Any adults or patrons, age 12+, who are in attendance at any of our ticketed shows will need to show proof of vaccine effective 13 September, as mandated.  For more information on this topic, please review the Government of BC Proof of vaccination information page.
